NTC researchers have curated the most interesting local lore — focusing on the industries, everyday lives, maritime activities, and historical events that took place in Downtown Norfolk, Downtown Portsmouth and along the Elizabeth River. Using visual aids to help tell the tales, professional tour guides from NTC provide entertaining narratives that reinvent and enrich the passenger experience aboard the American Rover as we sail the smooth waters of Hampton Roads. Onboard, guests will find ample comfortable seating, shaded top decks and climate-controlled lower lounges with snack bar and restrooms. There will also be time allotted on the cruise for informal discussions with the guide.
