Child Development Center Facility Overview

One of the Air Force’s best Child Development programs is located here at Scott. Our Development Centers provide care for children ages 6 weeks to 5 years. To serve our population, we have two facilities, building 1805 & 1807.

The goal of the CDC program is to support the development of the whole child, meaning all areas of development are considered inter-related and equally important. Our program acknowledges that children learn through active, hands-on involvement with their environment, peers and adults. We strive to respect each child’s unique interest, experience, abilities and needs while providing a safe, nurturing environment in which to learn.

Services offered include weekly child care. Each program works to meet your child’s needs and to provide an environment where parents feel secure leaving their children for the day.

Our Child Development Program is accredited by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), and is certified by the Department of Defense. Each care area is staffed in accordance with Air Force regulations. Reasonable fees and nutritious meals are just a part of the overall program.
